Connecting a UPS to a network

In order to be able to send to or receive information from a UPS over a network, the UPS must be connected to the network first.
This can be achieved directly or indirectly.

Indirect Connection

This solution is the most cost effective The UPS uses the resources of a computer system which is connected to the network via a Network Interface Card The UPS is connected to a computer (or server) via serial link (RS 232) or USB. The UPS uses the computer network connection: the end user has to install our Network Management Proxy.

Direct Connection

The UPS can also be directly connected to the network through our NMC card (Evolution, Pulsar/M/MX and Comet EX RT) which acts as Network Interface Cards.
